Fair Housing Notice.
Every client deserves fair treatment. No exceptions.
Our commitment
NeoHAVEN is committed to equal opportunity in housing. We serve buyers, sellers, renters, and landlords without discrimination, and we expect the same of the people we work with.
The law
We follow the Ontario Human Rights Code and the federal Canadian Human Rights Act. It's against the law to discriminate in housing-related services on the basis of:
- Race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship
- Creed (including religion)
- Sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression
- Age
- Marital status and family status
- Disability
- Receipt of public assistance
This list isn't exhaustive. Any form of discrimination that violates Canadian or Ontario human rights law has no place in our practice.
What this means in practice
We show every available property that fits your brief. We present every qualified offer to our sellers. We don't steer clients toward or away from neighborhoods based on protected grounds. We don't take instructions from clients that would violate fair housing law, even if asked.
If something feels wrong
If you believe you've been treated unfairly, either by someone at NeoHAVEN or by a party we're working with on your behalf, we want to know. Email hello@neohaven.ca directly. We take every concern seriously and investigate it.
